November Board of Realtors® Recap

Monthly Meeting Highlights

  • RPAC Success: We are thrilled to share that we not only met but exceeded our RPAC goal! This achievement reflects the dedication and commitment of our members to support the mission of the Realtor Political Action Committee.

  • Lockbox Fundraising Extension: While we’ve made significant progress, we are still $1,800 shy of reaching our lockbox goal. To help meet this target, the deadline has been extended until the New Year. Remember, lockboxes can be purchased for $25 each at Spencer’s, or payments can be made to Megan Mace. Let’s finish strong!

Holiday Charitable Giving

This year, the Board chose to forgo purchasing Christmas gifts for all members, opting instead to make donations of $500 each to three local organizations. Among the recipients are the Fraternal Order of Police, McDowell Cares for Hurricane Helene Relief, and Rotary New Years. Supporting our community remains a top priority during this season of giving.

New Agents Sworn In

We are excited to welcome two new agents to our ranks:

  • Jason Allison representing J Peterson Realty

  • Landon Whitson representing Whitson Realty

We wish both of these professionals success as they embark on their journeys in the McDowell County real estate market!

Education Updates

Cecilia Reel announced plans to bring Bill Gallagher to McDowell County for Continuing Education in February. The courses will include Gen-Up and BIC-Up sessions, while electives will be handled independently. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months!
